Seamless Gutter Installation in Wilmington

One continuous run per roofline, formed from the coil in your driveway, hung with hardware that doesn't fear salt. Most homes: $1,200–$3,500, itemized by the foot.

  • Old gutters hauled off, fascia inspected
  • Runs formed on site — no shipped seams
  • Hidden hangers, salt-rated fasteners
  • Downspouts placed where water should go

What it costs, honestly

Gutter pricing is per-foot math plus a few multipliers, so here's the math. Seamless aluminum in this market typically runs $8–$15 per foot installed. A one-story ranch with 140 feet of roofline lands near the bottom of the $1,200–$3,500 window; a two-story with 6-inch gutters, extra downspouts, and some fascia repair lands near the top. Three things move the number: height (second-story work is slower and riskier), size (6-inch costs a little more per foot than 5-inch — see the sizing guide for when it's worth it), and what we find under the old gutters.

About that last one: rotted fascia is the common surprise on coastal homes — years of overflow soak the board the gutter hangs on. We quote fascia repair per board before new gutters go over it, because hanging new runs on soft wood is how a $2,000 job fails in a year. No one should discover rot on the invoice.

Why seams are the enemy in this climate

Sectional gutters — the ten-foot lengths joined with slip connectors — put a joint every three steps along your roofline. Every joint is a future leak, and Wilmington's rain finds them faster than most places: our storms load gutters to the brim repeatedly, flexing every connection through wet-dry cycles all summer. A seamless run has exactly two kinds of joints, at corners and at outlets, both sealed and both visible for inspection. It's not a premium product anymore; it's simply the correct one here.

Downspouts are half the job

A gutter's only purpose is delivering water somewhere harmless, and around here "harmless" means away from the crawlspace. Standard installs get a downspout roughly every 30–40 feet of run (closer with 5-inch gutters or big roof planes), splash blocks or extensions aimed away from the foundation, and — on lots that hold water — a frank conversation about extending leaders further than the standard three feet. It's the cheapest flood insurance a coastal-plain house can buy.
